Using the board
Which angle should I start with?
Start at 25°, the lowest setting. Hold a gentle stretch for about 30 seconds, rest, and repeat a few times. Move up an angle when it starts to feel easy. Never push into pain.
What can I use it for?
Calf and Achilles stretches, hamstring stretches, heel-elevated squats, warm-ups and cool-downs, balance practice, and as a desk footrest. The exercise guide in the box shows a few moves to start with.
Do I need to wear shoes?
For standing stretches, yes. The grip surface is coarse, like fine sandpaper. It stops your feet from sliding but is rough on bare skin. When you use it as a desk footrest, socks are fine.
Can I use it after an injury or surgery?
A slant board is a stretching tool, not a medical device. If you're recovering from an injury or surgery, ask your doctor or physical therapist which stretches and angles are right for you.
The board
How much weight can it hold?
Up to 300 lb.
What is it made of?
10 layers of birch hardwood, a reinforced metal hinge, a coarse grip surface and non-slip foam feet.
Does it need assembly?
No. It arrives assembled. Unfold it, set the angle and step on.
Will it slide on hard floors?
Foam pads on the bottom help keep it in place on wood, tile and laminate floors.
What if the grip wears out?
2 spare grip sheets come in the box, so you can replace the surface when it wears down.
